GENERAL INFORMATION:

The EXPLORE mode serves to gain a vast spectrum of information related to specific buildings, figures and items from the epoque, painted by Canaletto himself.

Mode PLAY invites you to find those elements, which were painted on Canaletto’s original artworks. Those elements could be either people, or buildings and items, which belongs to later times.

RULES:

You can move with the mouse around the painting. In order to zoom in, use the mouse scroll wheel. With a left button double-click not only you detach the element from the background, you also can read the description from a text field. After you point your mouse on the text field, use the mouse wheel to scroll the text. You can move the text field from one place of the screen to another, to do so you hit and hold the left button in the upper part of the text field. You can as well explore the painting while having a text open - in order to do so, move the mouse from the text field and move the chosen component, and by usage of the mouse wheel you can zoom it in or out. Pressing the “close” sign causes going back to the initial screen of the EXPLORE part.

In the PLAY mode your goal is to find the painted in element, after marking it with the cursor, you should double-click on the left mouse button. If you are correct, the element will be highlighted. As a reward you get a fun fact related to that component. You can read the whole text by scrolling it down. You can move the text field from one place of the screen to another, to do so you hit and hold the left button in the upper part of the text field.
You can as well explore more the painting while having a text open - in order to do so, move the mouse from the text field and move the cursor on the screen, by usage of the mouse wheel you can zoom it in or out.
Pressing the “close” sign causes going back to the initial screen of the PLAY part.
Warning! Double-clicking with a left button on the original component of the painting causes loss of one out of three, given by default, chances. The chances are being symbolised by the mermaids signs. Three mistakes equals three mermaids, which means going back to the beginning of the game.
